The Advance development team is currently working on the new OMEGA 7 (DHV 2-3). Its market launch is planned for summer 2006.
ADVANCE OMEGA 7
Work on the OMEGA 7 has gathered pace in recent months. Both performance and handling of the current prototypes are already impressing our test pilots at this stage. As is usual at ADVANCE, however, work is still continuing on this product so as to bring a thoroughly tried-and-tested glider to the market.
With the forthcoming model, ADVANCE is refining the Hi-Arc canopy concept for series production. This concept stands for canopies with a high camber and has been continuously developed on our competition paragliders over the last three years. This has enabled an increase in aspect ratio over its predecessor, without making the wing too demanding for the experienced high-performance glider pilot.
With an aspect ratio of well over 6 and a DHV classification of 2-3, the new OMEGA will appeal particularly to very experienced pilots and long-distance flight experts. Its market launch is planned for summer 2006.
