Boom Sport in Kiwi Open

Congratulations to Thomas Regensburger from Austria who has won the serial class scoring of the KIWI OPEN 2006 with our new DHV 2-3 glider Boomerang Sport!

The Boomerang Sport has won the serial class scoring of the KIWI OPEN 2006 in Manilla, Australia in its first appearance in competition with Thomas Regensburger from Zillertal.

The total number of competitors was 150 and Thomas finished 16th overall with the Boomerang Sport.

Tom was flying the Boomerang Sport in Australia for the first time and commented about his new glider:
"I was flying the complete second task with the leading gaggle, all the other pilots except me on competition gliders. Even in headwind I could glide with half speed bar, but the others could not pull away from me. The handling of GIN's new DHV 2-3 glider, the Boomerang Sport is very nice and more light compared to the Zoom Race I flew before. It has a long brake range and I always had a confidence inspring and safe feeling. The Boomerang Sport is solid and does not move in itself. I am very happy with my new glider."

GIN Factory team pilot Max Jeanpierre won the KIWI OPEN 2006 overall flying the Boomerang 4, and another GIN Factory pilot and GIN team manager Charles Cazaux was in 3rd place overall.

Congratulations all the pilots!
